The motivation behind starting a procurement focused recruitment business stems from a strong desire to create a customer-focused agency that truly understands the requirements of organizations in need of procurement professionals. I wanted to establish a recruitment agency that goes beyond surface-level understanding and truly walks in the shoes of our clients. By drawing upon my own experience in procurement roles, we aim to deliver exceptional value and provide candidates who possess not only the necessary skills but also the first-hand knowledge and insights to thrive in the field. I believe that by offering this unique perspective, we can truly deliver value and establish long-term partnerships with our clients based on trust, expertise, and exceptional service. 

After graduating in Edinburgh with a degree in Microbiology, this laid the foundation for my career in the fields of food safety, quality and compliance. I have had the privilege of working in various roles within these industries for FTSE 500 companies. 

Throughout my career, I have held positions such as Technical Compliance Manager and Senior Lead Auditor, where I gained extensive knowledge and experience in ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and implementing quality control measures. These roles allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the complexities involved in maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. 

However, my journey didn’t stop there. I decided to explore new opportunities and expand my skill set. This led me to transition into the role of European Procurement Manager, where I directly oversaw a substantial annual spend of $190 million across Europe and the UK. My primary focus was managing procurement for two major brands operating in the snacking and cereal markets. This role allowed me to develop strong negotiation skills, build strategic relationships, and optimize the supply chain for enhanced operational efficiency. 

Beyond my professional life, I value a well-rounded lifestyle. In my spare time, I find joy in exercising and staying active. I believe that taking care of one’s physical health is essential for overall well-being. Additionally, I have a passion for exploring new places and experiencing different cultures through travel. It offers me an opportunity to broaden my horizons and gain fresh perspectives. 

Another interest of mine, I have a deep appreciation for literature and the art of poetry. In my free time, I thoroughly enjoy reading and writing poetry. It provides me with a creative outlet and a means to express my thoughts and emotions.
